LOOMTIME

Through textile projects Victoria tries to spread the Saori spirit, a contemporary hand weaving philosophy founded in Japan. Saori means: everything has its own individual dignity.

Each piece she makes is completely unique. It is impossible to weave exactly the same design more than once so each item represents the time, place and mood it was created within.

She combines high quality with more unusual raw materials and designs are inspired by the traditional form of origami, using minimal stitching to create a form which recognises the weight and natural movement of material.
