5ML: BOJAKI

5ml Design Collective is a UK partnership between Ilsa Parry, Michael Cloke and Tom Sutton. The brand is a design led organisation on a mission to assist independent British and international concept led creatives and design led craftspersons gain access to affordable opportunities to find new markets for their inventive products. At Liverpool Design Show 2011 they are presenting ‘Pixel Texel Luxel Voxel’ a collection of designers zooming in on pattern, light, texture and volume with examples of lighting, furnishings, homewares, and lifestyle accessories using a mix of traditional and digital techniques.

Recently graduated from Central Saint Martins, South Korean designer Jy Yeon Suh presents brand Bojaki. Bojaki products originate from a single fabric cloth that people use when covering and protecting items, folded fabric that becomes volume product by inflating with foam. It is very rigid and strong but perfectly light and offers a new manufacturing process for furniture and objects to combat the negative side effects of mass manufacturing.
