HANNAH LOVETT

Hannah's passion lies in the transformation of the discarded, and the transitory nature of ‘things’. She believes that every object has the potential to unfold into an alternative state of existence.

She enjoys the limitations presented to her through using salvaged glass, having learnt to see these as qualities rather than negatives, allowing them to guide her through journeys of exploration. She aspires to becloud the lines between art, design and craft. Conceptual work is formed whilst maintaining a sense of workmanship and the maker. Process is integral to her practice, and through this she intends to generate work which may sit also in a design world, without losing integrity as an artwork.
