CURIOUSA AND CURIOUSA

Esther started her professional life as a graphic designer, forming a successful agency in Derbyshire in 2001. But after more than a decade in the industry she felt ready for a new challenge and so returned to Nottingham Tent University in 2007 to study for a BA in Decorative Arts, leaving the agency under the management of her husband who joined in 2002. During her studies she was able to try her hand at many disciplines, from surface pattern, to lighting design, before achieving success with a series of extraordinary glass lamps. 



Having graduated with a first class honours degree, Esther launched her own brand, Curiousa & Curiousa at Tent London in September 2010, showcasing her talents for hand blown glass lights, fabric and wallpaper design as well as upholstery and furniture design. Tent proved an incredible springboard, with orders flowing over the next twelve months from interior designers and architects as well as an impressive list of prestigious clients, including Liberty’s, Harlequin and TK Max.
